Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Enfant au coq by Hatem El-Mekki was sold in the International Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Dubai in February 2007. Here, the upper estimate of USD 16,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,800.00 (€ 12,698.41). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hatem El-Mekki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Réfugiés (The Refugees) in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 305,000.00 (€ 243,415.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Enfant au coq von Hatem El-Mekki wurde im Februar 2007 in der Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 16.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.800,00 (€ 12.698,41) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hatem El-Mekki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Réfugiés (The Refugees) im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 305.000,00 (€ 243.415,80).
