Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Christies in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, which included the work Red Crates (Coca-Cola Crates Covered With Upholstery And Turned Into Stools) by Hassan Hajjaj. The price achieved of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,534.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hassan Hajjaj achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Master Cobra Mansa in May this year with an auction result of USD 32,760.00 (€ 30,749.01).
