The work Moroccandupe by Hassan Hajjaj was sold in the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction at Sothebys in London in October 2018. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,096.14), 39% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hassan Hajjaj - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Master Cobra Mansa, which sold at auction in May this year for USD 32,760.00 (€ 30,749.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Moroccandupe von Hassan Hajjaj wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.096,14) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Hassan Hajjaj mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Master Cobra Mansa beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für USD 32.760,00 (€ 30.749,01) versteigert wurde.
