Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work A view near Exeter by Harold Sutton Palmer for GBP 352.50 (€ 569.14). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harold Sutton Palmer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Wye Valley in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 5,019.00 (€ 7,763.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A view near Exeter von Harold Sutton Palmer für GBP 352,50 (€ 569,14) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harold Sutton Palmer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Wye Valley im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.019,00 (€ 7.763,26).
