Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Harry Rountree could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Watercolours auction, the work A Woolly Mammoth Under Attack; The Night Visitor; And The Toy Doll changed hands for GBP 480.00 (€ 702.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry Rountree achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On The Tee in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,849.26).
