Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work The Lovebirds by Harry Roseland. The price achieved of USD 15,600.00 (€ 11,664.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Harry Roseland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Beach At Coney Island in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 134,500.00 (€ 95,518.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Lovebirds von Harry Roseland zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.600,00 (€ 11.664,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harry Roseland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Beach At Coney Island im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 134.500,00 (€ 95.518,78).
