Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Under the Pines by Harry Leith-Ross was sold in the American Paintings auction at Christies in New York in June 2000. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,055.00 (€ 3,200.63). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harry Leith-Ross - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Snow on the West Bank, which sold at auction in August last year for USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,867.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Under the Pines von Harry Leith-Ross wurde im Juni 2000 in der Auktion American Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.055,00 (€ 3.200,63) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Harry Leith-Ross mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Snow on the West Bank beobachtet, die im August letzten Jahres für USD 8.925,00 (€ 8.867,36) versteigert wurde.
