Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Soldier'S Grave by Harry Leith-Ross for USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,434.07). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harry Leith-Ross - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Snow on the West Bank, which sold at auction in August last year for USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,867.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Soldier'S Grave von Harry Leith-Ross für USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.434,07) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Harry Leith-Ross mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Snow on the West Bank beobachtet, die im August letzten Jahres für USD 8.925,00 (€ 8.867,36) versteigert wurde.
