Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sacagawea II by Harry Jackson was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,167.50 (€ 2,057.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harry Jackson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Sacagawea, Study for the Monument', A Bronze Figure in November 2002 with an auction result of USD 47,800.00 (€ 48,127.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sacagawea II von Harry Jackson kam im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.167,50 (€ 2.057,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harry Jackson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Sacagawea, Study for the Monument', A Bronze Figure im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.800,00 (€ 48.127,27).
