Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Algonquin Chief and Warrior by Harry Jackson was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 7,650.00 (€ 6,483.05). Admittedly, works by Harry Jackson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Sacagawea, Study for the Monument', A Bronze Figure in November 2002 with an auction result of USD 47,800.00 (€ 48,127.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Algonquin Chief and Warrior von Harry Jackson im August 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 7.650,00 (€ 6.483,05) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Harry Jackson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Sacagawea, Study for the Monument', A Bronze Figure im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.800,00 (€ 48.127,27).
