Auction result well in line with expectations
In February this year Bonhams held the auction Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer, which included the work Lake Tahoe, High Sierra Mountains (a group of three advertising studies) by Harold von Schmidt. The price achieved of USD 956.25 (€ 901.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Harold von Schmidt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bill Looked it over. It was plenty wild all right. He felt slightly sick to his stomach. in April this year with an auction result of USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,695.65).
