Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ploughing the Fields by Harold Septimus Power was sold in the AUSTRALIAN & INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Melbourne in August 2002. The price achieved of AUD 1,762.50 (€ 987.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harold Septimus Power achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a Young Woman with Two Spaniels in November this year with an auction result of AUD 51,660.00 (€ 31,323.73).

Die Arbeit Ploughing the Fields von Harold Septimus Power wurde im August 2002 in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN & INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 1.762,50 (€ 987,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harold Septimus Power erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a Young Woman with Two Spaniels im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 51.660,00 (€ 31.323,73).
