In July 2010 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work School boy and his dog, Salford; and lithograph by the same hand by Harold Riley. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,502.98), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harold Riley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Ritz, Salford in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 34,429.49).

Im Juli 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit School boy and his dog, Salford; and lithograph by the same hand von Harold Riley zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.502,98) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harold Riley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Ritz, Salford im Juli 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 34.429,49).
