Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work Milk Drop Coronet by Harold E. Edgerton for USD 1,280.00 (€ 1,118.69). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Photographs at Bonhams in Skinner Boston and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harold E. Edgerton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Harold Edgerton: Ten Dye Transfer Photographs' in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 53,787.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2024 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Milk Drop Coronet von Harold E. Edgerton für USD 1.280,00 (€ 1.118,69) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints & Photographs bei Bonhams in Skinner Boston erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harold E. Edgerton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Harold Edgerton: Ten Dye Transfer Photographs' im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 53.787,54).
