Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wiltshire Downland by Harold Dearden was sold in the Twentieth Century British Art auction at Christies in London in July 2003. The price achieved of GBP 117.50 (€ 153.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harold Dearden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Breton Onion Sellers in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,594.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wiltshire Downland von Harold Dearden wurde im Juli 2003 in der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 117,50 (€ 153,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25,00 – 200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harold Dearden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Breton Onion Sellers im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.594,42).
