A top price for Harold Dearden - as previously expected
The work Breton Onion Sellers by Harold Dearden was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,594.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Breton Onion Sellers is the most expensive artwork by Harold Dearden that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Breton Onion Sellers von Harold Dearden kam im Mai 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.594,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Breton Onion Sellers das teuerste Kunstwerk von Harold Dearden, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
