In September 2010 Christies in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Australian Art, which included the work Coastal landscape, Australia by Harold Herbert. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,602.36), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Harold Herbert; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Morning Light sold at auction in May 2005 with the realized price of AUD 4,780.00 (€ 2,938.29).

Im September 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Coastal landscape, Australia von Harold Herbert zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.602,36) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Harold Herbert; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Morning Light im Mai 2005 mit dem Hammerpreis von AUD 4.780,00 (€ 2.938,29).
