Auction result well in line with expectations
The work There is no there there (XIII) by Harold Ancart was sold in the Le Jeune, A Collecting Legacy: The London No Reserve Edit auction at Christies in London in November last year. The price achieved of GBP 4,410.00 (€ 5,110.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harold Ancart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,018,500.00 (€ 835,246.84).

Die Arbeit There is no there there (XIII) von Harold Ancart wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Le Jeune, A Collecting Legacy: The London No Reserve Edit bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.410,00 (€ 5.110,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harold Ancart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.018.500,00 (€ 835.246,84).
