In December 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work A Still Life Of A Quince, Grapes, Peaches, A Walnut, And Hazelnuts On A Wooden Ledge by Harmen Steenwijck. The price achieved of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 105,501.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Still Life Of A Quince, Grapes, Peaches, A Walnut, And Hazelnuts On A Wooden Ledge is the most expensive artwork by Harmen Steenwijck that we have observed at auctions so far.
