Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 5,625.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harmen Serin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Hubertus Snoeck (1703-1773), Seated Three-Quarter Length, In A Library, Wearing A Grey Suit With A White Chemise, A Classical Garden Beyond, which sold at auction in May 2009 for EUR 13,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Jan de la Bassecourt (1696-1753), half-length, in a gold brocaded waistcoat and blue coat, standing near a table with a book von Harmen Serin kam im November 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 5.625,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Harmen Serin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of Hubertus Snoeck (1703-1773), Seated Three-Quarter Length, In A Library, Wearing A Grey Suit With A White Chemise, A Classical Garden Beyond beobachtet, die im Mai 2009 für EUR 13.750,00 versteigert wurde.
