Dölf Amacker went to India around 1948, shortly after independence and worked there as a young engineer. This work was acquired during his stay, between 1948 and 1961.

Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hari Ambadas Gade achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2016. In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Untitled (Still-Life) sold for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,570.15) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hari Ambadas Gade have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Houses in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 42,613.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hari Ambadas Gade erzielte im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Still-Life) für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.570,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hari Ambadas Gade auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Houses im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 42.613,64).
