In September 2018 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Bombay) by Hari Ambadas Gade. The »bidding war« ended at USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,284.29), 42% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hari Ambadas Gade - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Houses, which sold at auction in March 2018 for USD 52,500.00 (€ 42,613.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Im September 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Bombay) von Hari Ambadas Gade zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 18.284,29) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Hari Ambadas Gade mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Houses beobachtet, die im März 2018 für USD 52.500,00 (€ 42.613,64) versteigert wurde.
