Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Untitled (Coastal Town) by Hari Ambadas Gade. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,723.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hari Ambadas Gade have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Houses in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 42,613.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Coastal Town) von Hari Ambadas Gade zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.723,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hari Ambadas Gade auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Houses im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 42.613,64).
