Auction result fails to reach estimate
This work of art by Harald Giersing could be acquired at Bruun Rasmussen in January 2024 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern art and design auction, the work Interior with tiled stove and a dog's basket changed hands for DKK 9,000.00 (€ 7,865.76) - just shy of the DKK 10,000.00 estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harald Giersing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work “Mandolinspillerske” (Mandolin Player), 1920, which sold at auction in June this year for DKK 120,000.00 (€ 16,109.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Dieses Kunstwerk von Harald Giersing konnte im Januar 2024 bei Bruun Rasmussen für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern art and design wechselte die Arbeit Interior with tiled stove and a dog's basket für DKK 9.000,00 (€ 7.865,76) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit den Schätzpreis von DKK 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Harald Giersing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit “Mandolinspillerske” (Mandolin Player), 1920 beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für DKK 120.000,00 (€ 16.109,89) versteigert wurde.
