Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art & Dreaming Spires; Watercolours of Oxford and Cambridge Colleges, which included the work St. Paul's Cathedral standing through the ruins; St. Paul's Cathedral from the North; Rebuilding the past by Hanslip Fletcher. The price achieved of GBP 480.00 (€ 712.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Other works by Hanslip Fletcher have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2005 the work Phoenix Assurance, West End; and Phoenix Assurance, Lombard Street was auctioned for GBP 660.00 (€ 974.37).
