Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Boys on the Road, 1936 by Hansel Mieth was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2011. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,192.83). Admittedly, works by Hansel Mieth have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rhesus Monkey in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 12,600.00 (€ 10,473.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Boys on the Road, 1936 von Hansel Mieth kam im April 2011 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.192,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hansel Mieth auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rhesus Monkey im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 10.473,82).
