In July 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Virgin And Child, With St. John The Baptist, Half-Length by Hans Rottenhammer. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 21,264.96) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Rottenhammer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le festin des dieux : Le mariage de Bacchus et d'Ariane in June 2012 with an auction result of EUR 1,241,000.00.

Im Juli 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Virgin And Child, With St. John The Baptist, Half-Length von Hans Rottenhammer zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 21.264,96) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hans Rottenhammer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le festin des dieux : Le mariage de Bacchus et d'Ariane im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.241.000,00.
