Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2012 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Venus and Cupid by Hans Rottenhammer. The price achieved of GBP 121,250.00 (€ 154,439.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hans Rottenhammer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le festin des dieux : Le mariage de Bacchus et d'Ariane in June 2012 with an auction result of EUR 1,241,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Venus and Cupid von Hans Rottenhammer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 121.250,00 (€ 154.439,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hans Rottenhammer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le festin des dieux : Le mariage de Bacchus et d'Ariane im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.241.000,00.
