Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work An Interior With A Couple Reading by Hans Michaelson was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2001, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of NLG 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for NLG 1,880.00 (€ 903.62). Admittedly, works by Hans Michaelson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blumenvase in October 2011 with an auction result of EUR 8,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit An Interior With A Couple Reading von Hans Michaelson im Juni 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für NLG 1.880,00 (€ 903,62) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hans Michaelson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blumenvase im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.750,00.
