Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings, which included the work The Virgin And St. Anne With The Christ Child And St. John The Baptist by Hans Rottenhammer. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 26,581.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Rottenhammer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le festin des dieux : Le mariage de Bacchus et d'Ariane in June 2012 with an auction result of EUR 1,241,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Virgin And St. Anne With The Christ Child And St. John The Baptist von Hans Rottenhammer zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 26.581,20) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hans Rottenhammer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le festin des dieux : Le mariage de Bacchus et d'Ariane im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.241.000,00.
