Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Landscape with a big Castle in the Middle by Hanns Lautensack was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 625.00 (€ 738.68). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hanns Lautensack achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Landscape with a Castle on a Rock on the left top right, the Sun radiating in the Sky in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,855.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Landscape with a big Castle in the Middle von Hanns Lautensack im Dezember 2019 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 625,00 (€ 738,68) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hanns Lautensack erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Landscape with a Castle on a Rock on the left top right, the Sun radiating in the Sky im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.855,80).
