A top price for Hannibal Srouji - as previously expected
The work Gates by Hannibal Srouji was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2011. The price achieved of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,913.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Gates is the most expensive artwork by Hannibal Srouji that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Gates von Hannibal Srouji kam im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.913,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Gates das teuerste Kunstwerk von Hannibal Srouji, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
