Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hang Chunhui achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Prophet No. 3 sold for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 22,312.90) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hang Chunhui; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Missa No. 1 sold at auction in November 2013 with the realized price of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 41,479.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hang Chunhui erzielte im Mai 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Prophet No. 3 für HKD 225.000,00 (€ 22.312,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hang Chunhui; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Missa No. 1 im November 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 41.479,86).
