Despite a disappointment, a good price for Hideo Hagiwara
This work of art by Hideo Hagiwara could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Greek Mythology changed hands for USD 5,875.00 (€ 6,680.69) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Greek Mythology is the most expensive artwork by Hideo Hagiwara that we have observed at auction so far.
