Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIThe Finale, which included the work Market Scene by Hafiz Drubi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,837.50 (€ 12,558.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Hafiz Drubi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Family in May this year with an auction result of GBP 51,200.00 (€ 59,571.54).
