This artwork by Ha Chong-Hyun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Conjunction No. 79-22 sold for HKD 750,000.00 (€ 84,498.73) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ha Chong-Hyun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Conjunction 74-24, which sold at auction in November 2018 for HKD 2,750,000.00 (€ 310,385.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ha Chong-Hyun erzielte im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Conjunction No. 79-22 für HKD 750.000,00 (€ 84.498,73) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 350.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ha Chong-Hyun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Conjunction 74-24 beobachtet, die im November 2018 für HKD 2.750.000,00 (€ 310.385,94) versteigert wurde.
