Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2004 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work A saddled grey with terriers in a stable by Henry S. Cottrell. The price achieved of GBP 717.00 (€ 1,067.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry S. Cottrell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Joining in the hunt; Full speed; and Flooded, which sold at auction in October 2010 for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,747.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit A saddled grey with terriers in a stable von Henry S. Cottrell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 717,00 (€ 1.067,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry S. Cottrell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Joining in the hunt; Full speed; and Flooded beobachtet, die im Oktober 2010 für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.747,30) versteigert wurde.
