Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Contemporary Art & Editions Online, which included the work Wolf on Short Base, circa 1987 by Gwynn Murrill. The price achieved of USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,498.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gwynn Murrill have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cougar III in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 21,325.00 (€ 19,038.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Contemporary Art & Editions Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wolf on Short Base, circa 1987 von Gwynn Murrill zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.805,00 (€ 2.498,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gwynn Murrill auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cougar III im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.325,00 (€ 19.038,48).
