In April this year Bonhams held the auction Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art, which included the work Wolf II, 1975 by Gwynn Murrill. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,375.00 (€ 5,774.46), 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gwynn Murrill - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cougar III, which sold at auction in April 2019 for USD 21,325.00 (€ 19,038.48).

Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wolf II, 1975 von Gwynn Murrill zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.375,00 (€ 5.774,46) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gwynn Murrill mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cougar III beobachtet, die im April 2019 für USD 21.325,00 (€ 19.038,48) versteigert wurde.
