Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Guy Rose could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Portrait Of A Lady changed hands for USD 2,813.00 (€ 2,136.24) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guy Rose achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Incoming Fog, La Jolla in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 545,000.00 (€ 644,589.00).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Guy Rose konnte im April 2013 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady für USD 2.813,00 (€ 2.136,24) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00.
