Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gustave Miklos could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in February 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist and Modern Art including Russian and Latin American Art auction, the work Three Studies: I) Medallions Ii) Untitled (Composition 1) Iii) Untitled (Composition 2) changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,115.36) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustave Miklos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Animal, 1926 in November 2006 with an auction result of EUR 138,000.00.
