This artwork by Gustave Doré achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bruun Rasmussen in May this year. In the Paintings, furniture and varia auction, the work Streetview with an older woman laying cards sold for DKK 7,500.00 (€ 1,006.66) - well above the estimate of DKK 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustave Doré achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Souvenir De Loch Carron, Ecosse in April 2014 with an auction result of EUR 481,500.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Gustave Doré erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia wurde die Arbeit Streetview with an older woman laying cards für DKK 7.500,00 (€ 1.006,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem Schätzpreis von DKK 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gustave Doré erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Souvenir De Loch Carron, Ecosse im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 481.500,00.
