Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gustave Doré could be acquired at Il Ponte in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th and 20th century Paintings and Sculptures auction, the work Scena religiosa changed hands for EUR 800.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 900.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustave Doré achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Souvenir De Loch Carron, Ecosse in April 2014 with an auction result of EUR 481,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gustave Doré konnte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Il Ponte für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th and 20th century Paintings and Sculptures wechselte die Arbeit Scena religiosa für EUR 800,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 900,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gustave Doré erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Souvenir De Loch Carron, Ecosse im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 481.500,00.
