Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work Composition by Gustave Camus for EUR 76.80. This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Multiples Online at Bonhams in Brussels and was even below the estimate range of EUR 100.00 – 200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustave Camus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work “Fleurs Sur Fond Jaune”, 1969, Mons in February this year with an auction result of DKK 12,000.00 (€ 1,611.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2024 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Composition von Gustave Camus für EUR 76,80 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints & Multiples Online bei Bonhams in Brüssel erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 100,00 – 200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gustave Camus erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit “Fleurs Sur Fond Jaune”, 1969, Mons im Februar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 12.000,00 (€ 1.611,77).
