Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt, which included the work Standing Figure Of An African Woman, Seen From The Side by Gustave Achille Guillaumet. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 4,250.00 (€ 4,877.51). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustave Achille Guillaumet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Man in Profile, Algeria in March last year with an auction result of GBP 69,300.00 (€ 82,162.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt durch, in der auch die Arbeit Standing Figure Of An African Woman, Seen From The Side von Gustave Achille Guillaumet zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 4.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 4.250,00 (€ 4.877,51) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gustave Achille Guillaumet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Man in Profile, Algeria im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 69.300,00 (€ 82.162,95).
