Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gustav Köhler could be acquired at Sothebys in Amsterdam in March 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work Portrait Of A Lady In Traditional Costume changed hands for EUR 1,440.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gustav Köhler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pfeiferauchender Mann, which sold at auction in May 2011 for EUR 3,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gustav Köhler konnte im März 2007 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours wechselte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady In Traditional Costume für EUR 1.440,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gustav Köhler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pfeiferauchender Mann beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für EUR 3.750,00 versteigert wurde.
