Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Woman Holding A Book by Gustav Köhler was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2005. The price achieved of USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,587.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gustav Köhler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pfeiferauchender Mann, which sold at auction in May 2011 for EUR 3,750.00.

Die Arbeit A Woman Holding A Book von Gustav Köhler kam im Juni 2005 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.587,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gustav Köhler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pfeiferauchender Mann beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für EUR 3.750,00 versteigert wurde.
