Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Freundinnen in Umarmung by Gustav Klimt was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 16,640.00 (€ 19,107.34) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustav Klimt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Birch Forest in November last year with an auction result of USD 104,585,000.00 (€ 101,312,602.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Freundinnen in Umarmung von Gustav Klimt kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 16.640,00 (€ 19.107,34) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gustav Klimt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Birch Forest im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 104.585.000,00 (€ 101.312.602,93).
