A top price for Guo Hui - as previously expected
The work Strolling with Cane by Guo Hui was sold in the Chinese Contemporary Ink auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,462.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Strolling with Cane is the most expensive artwork by Guo Hui that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Strolling with Cane von Guo Hui wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.462,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Strolling with Cane das teuerste Kunstwerk von Guo Hui, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
