Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Little Knight by Guo Hongwei for HKD 20,000.00 (€ 2,285.97). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Online | Hong Kong at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Guo Hongwei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Plant No. 12 in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 16,180.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Little Knight von Guo Hongwei für HKD 20.000,00 (€ 2.285,97) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | Hong Kong bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guo Hongwei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Plant No. 12 im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 16.180,90).
